Danny joined the firm in April 2015 and has focused his practice on personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. Danny heads the firm’s litigation department, has secured record-setting jury verdicts, and has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients. He has been honored by several legal organizations as a “Rising Star” and as “Top 40 Under 40”.

Background

Mr. Justus serves in a variety of capacities with the Georgia Trial Lawyer Association and is an 2018 alumnus of the organization’s LEAD program. Admission to LEAD is highly competitive with stringent requirements. The program’s purpose is to build strong relationships between Georgia’s youngest and most promising trial lawyers from all four corners of our state and ultimately to better prepare tomorrow’s leaders today. Mr. Justus is also a fellow of The Melvin M. Belli Society, which is an international invite only society which promotes the exchange of ideas among trial lawyers through meetings and education across the globe. He is also a graduate of Trial Lawyers College in Estes Park, Colorado which focuses its curriculum on the intricacies of jury perception, client understanding, and trial technique. Mr. Justus is a member of St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Florida International University.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Justus earned his Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2014. While at John Marshall, he served as Executive Chairman of the Trial Advocacy Team and Executive Vice-Chairman of the Moot Court Honor Board. During his tenure with these organizations, Mr. Justus was a member of five national law school trial competition teams and won numerous advocacy awards both for competition performances and at his graduation.

Mr. Justus clerked for the Honorable Beth Bloom of the United States District Court of the Southern District of Florida, the Paulding County District Attorney’s Office in Dallas, Georgia, and Golden & Cowan, P.A. in Miami, Florida.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Justus was an adjunct professor at Savannah Law School from 2016 to 2020 where he taught trial advocacy and served as the faculty advisor and coach for the Mock Trial Team. He also serves as the Solicitor for the City of Springfield, Georgia. His trial partner is his wife, Maria Justus. In their free time they enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and spending time with their two daughters, Eleni and Sophia.
